AWS Outposts is now supporting local snapshots of Amazon Elastic Block Store

AWS has recently announced that its Outposts service will now support local snapshots of Amazon EBS, a move which will allow customers to purchase snapshots of their volumes in Amazon EBS, locally with Amazon S3, to meet their data needs. Channy Yan, Principal Developer Advocate at AWS, has said in a blog: "Supported use cases related to Outposts for migration and disaster recovery include: from on-premises to Outposts, from public AWS Regions into Outposts, from Outposts into public AWS Regions, and between two Outposts devices.”

Google introduces a new Cloud Domains service for enterprise companies

Google has launched the preview of Cloud Domains, its new service which will allow GCP customers to maintain their domains’ names in the same console that they use to manage Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) resources with. Potentially, the service may also improve the cybersecurity posture of enterprise companies.

Azure Firewall is now on preview

Microsoft has announced the public preview of Azure Firewall Premium, which gives additional abilities for the managed cloud-based security network service. The move provides users with access to Transport Layer Security (TLS), and with a signature-based intrusion detection and prevention system. The service can also filter outbound internet access, ranging from specific URLs to categories, such as social networks or gambling sites.
