JFrog To Acquire Security Software Startup Vdoo For $300M
JFrog has agreed to buy Vdoo for $300 million to provide holistic security from the development environment all the way to edges, IoT and devices. The Sunnyvale, Calif.-based DevOps platform provider said Tel Aviv, Israel-based Vdoo brings years of experience to bear around software architecture and vulnerability research, reverse engineering, and binary code analysis.
Ericsson, Google Cloud Partner to Deliver 5G, Edge Cloud Solutions to Telcos
Ericsson teamed up with Google Cloud to develop 5G and edge cloud solutions to help telp telcos unlock new enterprise and customer use cases. The companies in a joint statement said they are working to develop new solutions at Ericsson’s Silicon Valley D-15 Labs, a state-of-the-art innovation center that allows the development of advanced solutions and technologies that can then be tested on a live, multi-layered 5G platform.
Microsoft launches Azure Arc-enabled SQL in general availability
Microsoft today announced the launch of Azure Arc-enabled SQL, which extends Azure services to instances hosted on an edge datacenter or in a multicloud environment. Coinciding with this, the company rolled out an expanded Azure Arc partner ecosystem, validating Azure Arc against distributions including Dell PowerFlex, Red Hat OpenShift, and VMWare Tanzu.
