EPAM Acquires the Israeli cybersecurity startup
EPAM Systems acquires the Israeli White-Hat, in a deal whose value was not published but estimated to be in the tens of millions of dollars range, via cash and shares. EPAM is a leading provider of digital engineering platforms and development services. White-Hat provides proactive cybersecurity services to deter hackers and to reduce violations of access. Sam Rehman, Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Cybersecurity at EPAM, has said: "As organizations modernize their architectures and applications, their devices, users, applications, and networks become potential breach points, making it imperative to secure infrastructure and protect sensitive data. We've increased our cybersecurity investments, because security should be as pervasive as the cloud."
Zoe has raised funding in a series B round, so that you will be able to eat healthy
The Greek word "Zoe" means "life". The personalized nutrition startup Zoe has just raised $20M in a series B round, which was led by Ahren Innovation Capital. The capital which was altogether raised by the company now stands on $53M. Zoe uses big data and ML to predict people's responses to different kinds of foods, and to provide them with personalized recommendations on daily nutrition. Zoe aspires to improve gut health and to reduce inflammatory responses to diets.
Glovo was attacked by a hacker
The delivery startup systems were broken into by a hacker, according to the company, which did not elaborate on which details were exposed to the attacker. Glovo is valued at $1B, and the attack was done less than a month after it has raised $541M, when the interest in delivery companies was increasing during the Covid-19 era. The company wrote in an email: "We can confirm that no access was gained to client card data, as Glovo does not save or store such information […]".
